Happy Monday everyone!
For Goodreads Monday, I decided that I will start randomly generating the number of the book I choose. All of the books I choose are found under my to-be-read shelf on Goodreads. This week, I landed on Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett.
Goodreads Monday allows you to post about what books are on your “to read” lists, the progress you have made on your current books and reading challenge, and any other Goodreads news! To participate, choose a random book from your TBR and show it off. It is hosted by Budget Tales Book Blog.

Cambridge professor Emily Wilde is good at many things: She is the foremost expert on the study of faeries. She is a genius scholar and a meticulous researcher who is writing the world’s first encyclopaedia of faerie lore. But Emily Wilde is not good at people. She could never make small talk at a party—or even get invited to one. And she prefers the company of her books, her dog, Shadow, and the Fair Folk to other people.
So when she arrives in the hardscrabble village of Hrafnsvik, Emily has no intention of befriending the gruff townsfolk. Nor does she care to spend time with another new arrival: her dashing and insufferably handsome academic rival Wendell Bambleby, who manages to charm the townsfolk, muddle Emily’s research, and utterly confound and frustrate her.
But as Emily gets closer and closer to uncovering the secrets of the Hidden Ones—the most elusive of all faeries—lurking in the shadowy forest outside the town, she also finds herself on the trail of another mystery: Who is Wendell Bambleby, and what does he really want? To find the answer, she’ll have to unlock the greatest mystery of all—her own heart.
Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries is another book that I already own. From what I’ve read from reviews, this book has cozy fantasy vibes, which is exactly the type of book I have been looking for lately. I plan on prioritizing this one in June after I finish all of my upcoming ARCs.

I have had a very slow reading month. I started If You Knew My Name a couple weeks ago, but I haven’t had the time to finish it yet. I hope to find some time today or tomorrow, so I can write my review before the release date!
I also started Here for the Wrong Reasons yesterday, but I most likely will not have time to finish before the release date tomorrow. However, I think I can finish it by the end of the week!

Have you read Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries? What would your one-word review be?
Until next time, xx
I really enjoyed this book and I loved the second one even more! I am looking forward to the third one! A one word review would be determined.
Some books take longer for me to get through and there is no particular reason why (although sometimes I can pin it on being too busy 😂)
Have a great week!
