WWW Wednesday | March 29

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching and I have been feeling a little more stress than usual! I like to keep myself busy (it is a blessing and a curse), but photography, volleyball, teaching, and grad school has been taking a toll on me. I might take a break from weekly updates for a couple weeks depending on how I’m feeling, especially since I have a feeling my reading will be slowing down very quickly.

In April, I also want to participate in Camp NaNoWriMo and work on my first novel (not much information yet besides it’s a contemporary romance!). I am hoping to at least get close to finishing my first draft, so that will be where most of my free time will be going. Anyways, enough about my busy life, here is my WWW Wednesday update! 🙂

I am excited to see everyone’s posts this week – be sure to let me know if you completed this tag as well! Also, a huge thank you to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme.

Books for People Who Liked V.E. Schwab| Top 10 Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week’s prompt was “Books for People Who Liked Author X.” I decided to do V.E. Schwab, an author who I fall more in love with after every book of hers I read. I recently started her Darker Shades of Magic series (I finished book 1) and I think it really solidified Schwab as one of my all-time favorite authors. I still think about how the Monsters of Verity duology broke me into a million pieces.

Here are some books that give off the same vibe and/or writing style as V.E. Schwab books! Some of these I’ve read and others I got from suggestions on BookTok (by the way, go follow me if you want to be BookTok buddies!)! Let me know if you have any other suggestions for me to check out!

WWW Wednesday | March 22

Hey, look at me go! Two weeks in a row! The past week has been a hectic one–I have multiple assignments due for grad school this week so I have been trying to get ahead, I was behind on grading for work, and I was a photographer for a wedding last Friday! Thankfully, I had plenty of time for reading though. The wedding was two hours away, so I finished both of my audiobooks on the drive. I also spent my Sunday afternoon relaxing with a book (mostly to avoid doing homework, whoops).

I am excited to see everyone’s posts this week – be sure to let me know if you completed this tag as well! Also, a huge thank you to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme.

YA Fantasy Books I Want to Read This Year| Top 10 Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week’s Top 10 Tuesday prompt is to complete a previous TTT prompt that we have missed in the past. Because of this, I thought I would come up with ten YA Fantasy books I would like to read by the end of 2023. Recently, I went through every single book on my bookshelf to see how many unread books I own. The number was shameful (*cough* 216 *cough*). While those 216 books are a variety of genres, many of the books were YA fantasy!

I love reading books of multiple genres, but for the past few years, the majority of books I’ve read have been Romance or Thriller. YA Fantasy is a genre that I have always loved, so it will be interesting to see if I still enjoy the genre as much as I used to.

Here are the Top 10 YA fantasy books I would like to pick up this year!

WWW Wednesday | March 15

It has been a while since I have participated in WWW Wednesday, but as I am currently in the middle of my spring break (for college, the high school I work at sadly does not have a week break!), I figured this would be a great week to start back up again. I have always loved seeing what others are currently reading because 1) I’m nosy and 2) I love adding books to my to be read list.

Thank you to Sam @ Taking on a World of Words for hosting this weekly meme.

To Be Read: June ’16

book

I want to get a lot of reading done during the last half of May and all of June. I am falling extremely behind on my Goodreads challenge (to read 52 books in 2016). I’ve only read 8 books this year which puts me 14 books behind schedule. So I want to read 20 books by the end of June. Here’s what’s on my list so far:
