Happy Monday (and November) everyone!
I have been taking a much needed hiatus on social media, but I am hoping I can start to post more consistently again. The school year has been a bit of a rocky start (especially since I started advising for THREE new activities/clubs). I also have started to plan for a WEDDING, which has been a stressful but exciting experience. My fiancé and I decided to elope, so we’re hoping for something more lowkey. However, I am ANXIOUS about travel and planning, so I feel like I’m behind 😅
Anywho, for Goodreads Monday, I randomly generate the number of the book I choose. All of the books I choose are found under my to-be-read shelf on Goodreads. This week, I landed on Ghost Roast by Shawnelle Gibbs.
Goodreads Monday allows you to post what books are on your “to read” lists, the progress you have made on your current books and reading challenge, and any other Goodreads news! To participate, choose a random book from your TBR and show it off. It is hosted by Budget Tales Book Blog.

A Harvey Award Nominee!
Ghost Roast delivers a paranormal adventure full of first crushes, lost histories, and the impossible task of fitting in when your dad is a professional ghosthunter. A stand-alone YA graphic novel from authors Shawneé and Shawnelle Gibbs and artist Emily Cannon!
For as long as she can remember, Chelsea Grant has tried everything she can think of to distance herself from the disastrous damage her father does to her social life. It's not easy to shake her reputation as Ghost Girl when Dad keeps advertising his business as a "paranormal removal expert" in big, bold, loud letters all over New Orleans!
This year, Chelsea's all grown up, attending one of the most prestigious high schools in the city, and she's finally made friends with the popular crowd. Things are looking up—until a night on the town backfires spectacularly, landing her in hot water at home. Her punishment? Working for her dad at Paranormal Removal Services. All. Summer.
Worst of all, her new job reveals an unexpected secret she has to keep: While Dad hunts ghosts with his own DIY tech, Chelsea can actually see them. And when she meets Oliver, a friendly spirit, at the fancy mansion her dad is getting a handsome fee to exorcize, she realizes she has to save his afterlife, even if it risks everything her father's worked for.
I’ve said it a thousand times before, but I have a major love for graphic novels. I do not remember adding this one to my Goodreads list, but the story seems so cute!! I actually might have to put in a request to have this book added to my classroom library.
Currently Reading

Right now, I am 27% into Killer Instinct, Book 2 in The Naturals series by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. It has been described as a YA Criminal Minds, and I definitely agree with this synopsis. Book 1 drew me in SO FAST, and I am excited to finish the rest of the series.
So far, I’d say that I am enjoying Book 2 less than Book 1, but that does not mean I am not still enjoying it. The writing is honestly just okay, but the characters and story are interesting enough that it makes up for it.
Reading Challenge Progress

Even though I have taken a long break from the blog and bookstagram, I have still been reading 6-10 books a month. I have officially already completed my yearly goal of 80 books!! I have a soft goal of reaching 100 books, which I actually think is quite doable at this point.
My goal for reading 60 books on my physical TBR is a lot less doable. I still will leave it as a goal, but I won’t be too upset if I don’t manage to read that many. 41 books was still a lot that I knocked off of my physical TBR!
Have you read Ghost Roast? What would your one-word review be?
Until next time, xx

Wow! So busy! I hope that you have a wonderful wedding.
My average reading is about 6/7 books too.
So far I have read 8 books from my physical TBR 😶 I aim to read more but I get distracted by Blog Tours!
Have a great week!
