Happy Sunday everyone!
I have had a very productive two weeks! I was in my friend’s wedding last weekend, so the days leading up to that were filled with last minute tasks and hanging out with some great people! After the wedding, I finally had a week off from doing anything (minus the one day I worked a shift at the bar in town). I spent this week pre-writing a few upcoming blog posts and finally reading some books! After my reading slump in May, it felt great to be excited about reading again!
The Sunday Post is a blog news meme hosted @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received as well as share news about what is coming up on your blog for the week ahead.
Recently Finished
Books
Here for the Wrong Reasons – I have more in depth thoughts in my review here, but I thought this was a fun reality TV romance! ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
If You Knew My Name – Full review here – This wasn’t my favorite free verse novel I’ve read, but I think it covers some topics that are extremely important. I have already ordered a couple of copies for my classroom library! ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
The Chase – This is a re-read since I have finally read the first series (The Off-Campus Series). The Chase is book one in the spin-off series, Briar U, which I want to finish. I have read books 1 and 2 in the past so I am rereading them before I continue the series! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dungeons and Drama – This was such a cute YA romance!! I did not like Dungeons and Dragons in high school, so I don’t think this would have been for me then, but as a player now? I loved this one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Roommate Risk – Full review here – honestly, I did not expect to love this book as much as I did. It was hot and fun, but also extremely real and hard-hitting at times. I also haven’t been this in love with a book boyfriend in a MINUTE. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Movies
Monsters University – Oh my gosh!! I haven’t rewatched this movie in a few years, and I am still in love! We turned this one on because my boyfriend had never seen it before (crazy). I was OBSESSED with Monsters, Inc when I was in high school (like a little too obsessed probably), and I even owned a Monsters University sweatshirt. I really felt the nostalgia with this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Abigail – The newest release from directing duo Radio Silence (the directors of a few of my favorite movies: Scream 5 & 6 and Ready or Not), this vampire horror was a blast! I didn’t have the highest expectations after originally hearing the plot, but Abigail was a pleasant surprise. If you like horror movies and gore, I recommend this one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Vacancy – I’ve been in the mood to watch some old school horror movies, so I decided to turn on Vacancy. It gave me the same vibes as The Strangers, but it was a little less spooky. I did still enjoy it, but I’m not sure I’ll watch it again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
TV Shows
The White Lotus – I recently watched the first season of The White Lotus on HBO Max. I’m counting this under the “Recently Finished” because the seasons are technically separate from each other (or at least I’ve heard). I do want to continue the show at some point because I really enjoyed season 1, but I have so many other shows I need to catch up on that it isn’t a high priority for me! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
IN PROGRESS
Books
Pageboy – I am currently in the middle of the audiobook for Pageboy. Even though I’m only halfway through, I know this is going to be one I recommend to anyone. There is some dark, heavy topics involved, but it really does shed light on issues that are still happening in the LGBTQ+ community.
TV Shows
The Bear – The boyfriend and I are finally on season 2!! We are hoping to be all caught up by the time season 3 comes out. It’s a show that has been growing on us!
Game of Thrones – My friends and I have taken a little break from our weekly Game of Thrones marathons since summer is a crazy time for all of us. I’m sure we’ll get together here and there, but we’re not putting too much pressure on it.
Crafts
I have been working hard on a blue hexagon cardigan I am making for myself. This is my first clothing project I have attempted, and man, it is taking me a while! I recently finished one sleeve, so I will be working on finishing the other sleeve so I can connect them. Hopefully, it will be complete by the Sunday Post!
Music
I have been listening to most of Band of Horses music since I recently got tickets to see them in concert next month!
Blog Recap
This might be the most productive two weeks I have had on my blog yet! Even with the additional posts, I have a lot of great posts here that I am proud of.

We’re big fans of The Bear. My son is a sous chef, and he said the show very adequately portrays what goes on in a kitchen. We’re really excited for season 3!
That’s so cool! My boyfriend worked as a chef for years, and he said the same!! I’m going to have to remember to ask you your thoughts on season 3 when it’s out 👀
