Umm, where did October go?? No more of my favorite Fall vibes here in North Dakota–it is officially winter. Last week, my town had a very fun (aka terrible) blizzard where the roads became extremely icy. My school even had a two-hour late start because of the roads…IN OCTOBER!! I have a feeling this winter will be a rough one.
But with bad weather comes a constant want to stay inside, cozied up on my couch! Typically, I read the most books between November and February, so I am hoping the pattern remains true this year (the last couple of months have been tough!).
I decided to share my six most anticipated releases for the month of November. There are definitely other books on my radar that are not on this list, but these are the books I will likely pick up in the near future!
Make sure to let me know in the comments what you are planning on reading this month! I am always adding things to my want-to-read list on Goodreads…
Check & Mate – Ali Hazelwood | November 7, 2023

I think this is a book on many people’s Most Anticipated Releases lists this month. I have read two of Ali Hazelwood’s adult full-length novels: The Love Hypothesis and Love on the Brain. The Love Hypothesis was one of my favorite romances of 2021, but I did not really care for Love on the Brain, mostly because it felt so similar to her first book.
Even so, I am really excited to read her YA debut. I have already seen some great reviews for it, and it might make me break my book-buying ban (there’s already a HUGE waitlist at the library).
Bookshops & Bonedust – Travis Baldree | November 7, 2023

Listen. Legends & Lattes changed me last year. I mean, not actually, but it felt like it did. I had NEVER read a cozy fantasy like this before. The book has left a lasting impression on me ever since. Because of this, I am SO excited to pick up his next book, which takes place in a bookstore!? Count. Me. In.
With or Without You – Eric Smith| November 7, 2023

When I originally saw this book, the author did not sound familiar to me. What drew me in was the idea of a food truck war being the conflict in a YA romance. However, I realized that I actually read a book by Eric Smith three years ago–Don’t Read the Comments–a book I really enjoyed! While it’s been a few years, I remember distinctly liking how Smith wrote his characters, which made me even more excited for this book! I already have this one on reserve at the library!
Do Your Worst – Rosie Danan| November 14, 2023

This one sounded really intriguing to me. Curses? Occult experts? LOVE? Count me in! I also JUST read The Roommate last month and really enjoyed it, so I’m excited to read another book by Rosie Danan.
Artifacts of an Ex – Jennifer Chen| November 14, 2023

I actually have the digital ARC of this book from Netgalley but haven’t had the chance to read it yet! Since the release date is coming up, I have moved this towards the front of my TBR (AKA it will be my SSR book for when my students are also reading!). I just adore the cover of this one and the premise sounds adorable! Plus, I am in need of a fun romance.
Godly Heathens – H.E. Edgmon| November 28, 2023

I knew absolutely nothing about this book when I first saw it. I will admit, I was initially drawn to it because of the cover. I mean, seriously. LOOK AT IT, IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL!! After seeing the cover, I found out it is a queer, fantasy, which made me even more interested in checking it out. The blurb sounds like an incredible fantasy. I have this one as a digital arc, so I will be picking this one up soon!
And there you go–my six most anticipated books of November!! I really hope I am able to read more consistently soon so that I can finally get to all of the great books that came out this year. Only one more insane 40-page paper to write, and I am hopefully free!
Don’t forget to comment below what is on your November TBR! I always want to know what others are reading!
Thank you all for reading! Until next time xx
