Books for People Who Liked V.E. Schwab| Top 10 Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week’s prompt was “Books for People Who Liked Author X.” I decided to do V.E. Schwab, an author who I fall more in love with after every book of hers I read. I recently started her Darker Shades of Magic series (I finished book 1) and I think it really solidified Schwab as one of my all-time favorite authors. I still think about how the Monsters of Verity duology broke me into a million pieces.

Here are some books that give off the same vibe and/or writing style as V.E. Schwab books! Some of these I’ve read and others I got from suggestions on BookTok (by the way, go follow me if you want to be BookTok buddies!)! Let me know if you have any other suggestions for me to check out!

YA Fantasy Books I Want to Read This Year| Top 10 Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week’s Top 10 Tuesday prompt is to complete a previous TTT prompt that we have missed in the past. Because of this, I thought I would come up with ten YA Fantasy books I would like to read by the end of 2023. Recently, I went through every single book on my bookshelf to see how many unread books I own. The number was shameful (*cough* 216 *cough*). While those 216 books are a variety of genres, many of the books were YA fantasy!

I love reading books of multiple genres, but for the past few years, the majority of books I’ve read have been Romance or Thriller. YA Fantasy is a genre that I have always loved, so it will be interesting to see if I still enjoy the genre as much as I used to.

Here are the Top 10 YA fantasy books I would like to pick up this year!

Books on My Spring 2023 TBR | Top 10 Tuesday

As the weather gets warmer and the days get longer, there’s no better time to curl up with a good book and enjoy the sunshine. With spring just around the corner, it’s a good time to start thinking about which books will be on your reading list for the season.

I have had a great reading year so far, but I know that my summer is about to get more jampacked. Grad school homework will increase, spring volleyball is about to begin, and teaching will get even crazier as the school year comes to a close. Even with the crazy schedule, I am excited to knock off more books off my physical TBR. I counted recently and I have over 250 books that I own that I’ve NEVER read. That is insane to me! Even when I was busiest and didn’t read as much as I do now, I was still buying books at a high rate. Because of this, I am officially on a book buying ban until I am able to read more of my physical books (with the rule that I can buy one new book for every ten books read, because let’s be honest, buying books gives me joy!).

All ten books I am listing are part of my physical TBR so I am excited to get a jump start on my goal. Without further ado, here are the ten books I would like to read this spring!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader.

It’s officially Tuesday which means it’s time for another T10T! This weeks prompt: Covers or titles that made me want to read OR buy the book!

This list was particularly easy for me as I often add books to my Want to Read shelf on Goodreads based on the cover when I’m scrolling through my feed or looking at New Releases! I am 100% a cover buyer, anyone else?

BOOKS THAT GIVE OFF SUMMER VIBES Summer reading

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader.

Before I start this post, I just want to bring some awareness to the current situation at hand in the United States. I live in North Dakota, just one state over from the murder of George Floyd. I have always been very supportive of the Black Lives Matter movement and it’s time for anyone and everyone to take a stand. Please do some research and help in any way you can! Please click the links I’ve attached and educate yourself!

75 ways you can start helping.

This week’s topic is books that give off summer vibes. I love books with summer vibes because I live in North Dakota, where we get three months of heat and eight to nine months of snow.
