Books for People Who Liked V.E. Schwab| Top 10 Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week’s prompt was “Books for People Who Liked Author X.” I decided to do V.E. Schwab, an author who I fall more in love with after every book of hers I read. I recently started her Darker Shades of Magic series (I finished book 1) and I think it really solidified Schwab as one of my all-time favorite authors. I still think about how the Monsters of Verity duology broke me into a million pieces.

Here are some books that give off the same vibe and/or writing style as V.E. Schwab books! Some of these I’ve read and others I got from suggestions on BookTok (by the way, go follow me if you want to be BookTok buddies!)! Let me know if you have any other suggestions for me to check out!

YA Fantasy Books I Want to Read This Year| Top 10 Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! This week’s Top 10 Tuesday prompt is to complete a previous TTT prompt that we have missed in the past. Because of this, I thought I would come up with ten YA Fantasy books I would like to read by the end of 2023. Recently, I went through every single book on my bookshelf to see how many unread books I own. The number was shameful (*cough* 216 *cough*). While those 216 books are a variety of genres, many of the books were YA fantasy!

I love reading books of multiple genres, but for the past few years, the majority of books I’ve read have been Romance or Thriller. YA Fantasy is a genre that I have always loved, so it will be interesting to see if I still enjoy the genre as much as I used to.

Here are the Top 10 YA fantasy books I would like to pick up this year!

My Reading Goals for 2020

I can’t believe 2019 is over. A lot happened this year that made it one of the best years yet. I graduated college a few weeks ago with an English Education degree, I moved into a new apartment with my boyfriend, my mental health is at an all-time high, and I read the most books I’ve ever read in a year (56!). With the wonderful year I had, I don’t have a lot of “resolutions” for the new year, but I do have some goals I’d like to reach.

July Wrap-Up

book2.jpg

First of all, I would like to apologize for my lack of activity. I have been so busy with work and driving home, and last time I was home I forgot my laptop charger, so I literally couldn’t do anything web-related. But, I’m back!

For the month of July, I had extremely high expectations on how many books I wanted to read for the month. If you watch my “July To Be Read”video on Youtube, you’ll see that I wanted to read 8 books this month.
