I have been in a HUGE reading mood lately. I have been avoiding all responsibilities (mostly homework) to read and I have been loving every second of it. However, I do need to get back to reality a bit, so I figured this week would be perfect for a reading challenge before I need to buckle up and get back to reality!
Here are the 7 books I will be attempting to read this week!
The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan
The last book in the Percy Jackson series! I have been reading Percy Jackson for the past few days (like I said, I’ve been avoiding everything) in preparation for reading The Heroes of Olympus series (see below). Rereading PJ has been wonderful–so much nostalgia and SO much I forgot (my heart has been rebroken many times).
The Unraveling of Cassidy Holmes by Elissa R. Sloan
A book I am reading this week specifically for my TBR Jar Challenge. I have had this book since August 2020 (when it was my BOTM book) and I haven’t touched it since. After reading the synopsis, it seems like a book I would be into so I am excited to give it a go! I am hoping this book is as good as my first book from the TBR Jar Challenge (The Dating Plan by Sara Desai). However, I have told myself to be ruthless for this challenge (I need to get rid of books I won’t ever read) so if I’m not vibing the book, it may be a DNF.
Taproot by Keezy Young
I know it is unrealistic for me to read seven entire novels in a week, so I wanted to include some graphic novels as well! Taproot is one that has been on my list for a while since I received the digital ARC from Netgalley. I never got around to it (you’ll see why in a future post), but I am excited to read it this week!
Let’s Get Quizzical by Kelly Ohlert
A recent addition to my digital ARC collection that I am excited to read! A second chance romance taking place on the set of a trivia game show?! Say less.
The Lost Hero and The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan
The entire reason I am rereading the Percy Jackson series right now is so I can finally read the Heroes of Olympus series for the first time! I have heard so many great things, and I am excited to learn more about the Percy Jackson universe. I decided to stick with only the first two books for this week since I do not want to burn myself out on Rick Riordan (I have been reading Percy Jackson for the past four days). have been told I need to be ready for a whirlwind of emotions, so that’s a good sign? Maybe?
And that’s it! These are the books I plan on reading this week! I plan on also doing a TikTok on how many pages I read every day, so I will be back next week with a recap on how I did! Let me know below what books you want to read this week (even if it’s one or even if it’s none!). xx
