Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme by The Artsy Reader.
I have been reviewing books for a few years now and I’ve read over 200 books since I’ve started. I typically, either on Goodreads or here on my blog, always say at least something about every book I read, but there are some books that I have adored but never wrote a review on.
The reason for this is most likely because the books are rereads that hold significant value or because I was reading too many books at one time and simply forgot to review it.
Here are my Top 10 books I loved but never reviewed.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
This one I read for one of my college classes, so I didn’t review it because I was developing lesson plans from it. But, this book tore me to shreds, and I’m really hoping I am able to teach this book to my future students one day.
Looking for Alaska by John Green
John Green may be a little overrated but that doesn’t stop this book from being GOLD. I reread this book every few years and it’s held up for me time and time again.
Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia
One I read during my sophomore year of college, meaning I wasn’t fully immersed in the online book-sphere quite yet. I have been itching to reread this one though to see if I still would enjoy it as much.
A Nearly Normal Family by M.T. Edvardsson
Honestly, this is very shocking to me. I have recommended this book to so many people and consider it one of my favorites since I read it last summer. I do remember I was on a trip when I read this, so I’m guessing I just didn’t have time for a review and then never got to it, but my god this book deserves all the great reviews.
The Perks is Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
One that has been one of my favs since high school that I never have reviewed because I am biased as all hell. I reread this book every couple of years because it gives me all the feels.
Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
???? Like why??? I read this book because of the Booktube community and became instantly obsessed with it. It’s one of my favorite books of all time and I am shocked I never even made a comment on it on Goodreads.
Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult
I’ve read this book a few times but the last time was five years ago before I started writing reviews for books. I definitely have been wanting to pick this one up again to see if it still holds up, because it was in my top ten for so long.
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
I believe I read this book before I really started reviewing more of the books I read. I absolutely adored this book and I have been wanting to pick it up for a reread for a long time. This is one of the books that got me back into YA Contemporaries after a long reading slump!
The Lightning Thief by Percy Jackson
Ugh, this book. This series. It gives me all the joy and feelings in the world. I remember reading these books in high school and constantly sneaking them during classes.
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
This was another really shocking one for me, considering I read this book because of bookstagram and booktube. This is an extremely powerful book, especially now, and might have to give this a reread to properly review it.
