From June 23rd to June 27th, my mother, little brother and my boyfriend decided to go visit my godmother in Wisconsin. I have been to Wisconsin once before, 5 years ago, when we visited my godmother the first time. 5 years ago, we went to the Wisconsin Dells which had the Mount Olympus theme park, and visited State Street in downtown Madison. This time, we wanted to try and do something different.
We arrived on the 23rd at about 6 pm since the drive from my town was 8 hours. We decided to go to a drive in movie that night (drive in movies are the coolest! There’s only one about 45 minutes from where I live, but they play crappy movies. Bummer.) and we saw Finding Dory! It was amazing by the way.
On the second day, my godmother took us hiking! I had never been hiking before, and man, was it an experience. I think I almost died climbing up to the top, but the view (first picture above) made it so worth it! After the hike, which took 2 HOURS, we went swimming at the lake for a bit. I definitely want to go back there next time, and try hiking again!
On the third day, we drove to Chicago and I went to Six Flags for the first time! It was amazing! I love roller coasters and I’ve been wanting to go to a Six Flags for as long as I can remember. We got there around 11, and bought the fast passes (but they were $115! That price is just insane) so we could ride all the rides without much of a wait. We ended up riding almost every roller coaster (minus the one super scary one I refused to go on) and had a lot of fun. I obviously had to get a snow cone too since they’re my favorite thing to get at amusement parks! I definitely will go back there too at some point in my life
On our fourth and final day of the trip, we decided that we needed some relaxation (hiking and amusement parks killed our motivation) so we went back to State Street. The University of Wisconsin is located there so we walked around campus, shopped a little, and hung out by the lake. Yes, the campus has A LAKE. I’ve never been so jealous of a college before.
The next day, we were heading back home. We stopped at the Mall of America in Minneapolis on the way back as a little break, and I had to take a picture with Spongebob! We did a little shopping and then we hopped back in the car to drive the last 5 hours before we reached home.
I had so much fun on this trip, and I really look forward to going back again someday. Wisconsin is such a beautiful state with so much to do!

Wow, that sounds like such a fun trip! I love rollercoasters too – I’ve been to Cedar Point in Ohio, but never Six Flags, so I totally need to go sometime! I went to the Mall of America last summer, it’s so fun!
