How to Gain Motivation to Lose Weight for Spring Break

run     Spring Break is right around the corner, which means that all of the constant worry about how you’re going to reach your goal weight by the time you hop in your car, bags packed, is in full throttle right now.

  1. Download a fitness app. I use the app “Lose It!” to track my calorie intake everyday to make sure I’m not overeating. Another app that can also help you earn money (bonus!) is “Pact”. With this app, you sign an agreement to workout anywhere between 2-6 days a week. At the end of the week, if you complete your pact, you’ll earn a small amount of money as a reward.
  2. Find a free workout class. At most colleges, the fitness center offers free workout classes for students. Classes can range anywhere from pedaling to Zumba and even yoga. These classes also double up as stress relievers from schoolwork so grab a friend and enroll in one of these classes for a fun and stress-relieving workout.
  3. Make a workout calendar. Buy yourself a fitness planner or even download a premade one (blogilates.com makes one every month). Schedule out whatever you want to do for the week. Writing down future workout plans motivates you to actually accomplish what you’re trying to do.
  4. Make a thinspiration board (real or on Pinterest). Find pictures online of motivational workout quotes and any other pictures you think will motivate you to workout. Print them off, make a collage and hang it up where you’ll see it everyday. Or, pin all of the pictures to your board on Pinterest and try and look at it everyday.

These tips will help motivate you to eat healthy and go to the gym so that by the time spring break rolls around, you’re ready to go. What are you guys doing for spring break? xx
